Hey there. Thanks for your help with odds and ends, fellow 924 driver people. Here are some pics of the beater.

So far: got the pop-headlights working, changed belts & oil, created a heater blower motor, replaced exhaust manifold gaskets, had fabricated an alternator bracket, replaced cold-start valve, replaced a hell of a lot of bad wiring, fixed a no-start electrical problem, replaced missing gear shifter etc., etc.
I intend to replace all engine gaskets and possibly get a better head. In any case, head work needs to be done. Fuel system seems OK, transmission seems OK but shifts a little loose, and obviously it needs some minor body work & paint.

That`s good to hear. It`s normal practice to post a conclusion in the thread you started about the problem.

Actually that's only half correct. They work, yes, but requires a second switch to power down, unfortunately. It's an ongoing saga, but an improvement, lets say.
