1st question.. On the throttle body how many turns should the throttle adjustment screw be turned out from fully closed and does the EIS have to be disabled for the 1st starting?
2nd question concearning part #477 133 525 D described as solonoid valve.
two wires connect to this, the wire colours are yellow with red, the other is brown (ground). Looking from front to back under the car which wire goes on the righ side connection and which wire goes on the left side connection? or does it not matter? from the wiring diagrams its not exaclty clear what wire belongs on which connection point, Does anyone perhaps have a picture that could be posted showing this?
Thanks Chris. _________________ 1981 924 NA (Restoring mode)

Chris, I don't have a picture, but I can answer the second question when I get home later. I just dissassembled my car and I labeled the wires off the solonoid, so I'll be able to tell you which goes where. Maybe someone can beat me to it.
For the throttle body, I would open the screw fully to make sure it starts first time. More bypass air will cause it to idle higher, but it won't idle too low this way and stall. Once it is idling high, you can make you timing and throttle body adjustments as needed. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

The connections to the solenoid valve aren't critical; either way around will work. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

| 2.5 turns from fully closed on the throttle body screw should get you close. I don't think opening it up until it falls out, or is ready to fall out is a good idea. |

Gohim is right, not so far that it is loose, it will shake itself out during idle. Open, but not that open. My post was clear as mud. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |
