Anyone think an 924 NA could beat a mustang? The guy I bought my 924 said that it beat a Mustang in a straight drag. Anyone think that's a little far fetched. I would guess it was an automatic v6. Mine 924 is a 4 speed manual. Whadya think? Did he lie?

The older 3.0 were a bit of a dog but the newer 3.8's would definetly outrun it.

Almost everything is faster than a North American-spec non-turbo 924. I hope you didn't buy it to drag race, because if you did, you bought the wrong car. _________________ Jon Furst |

I didn't buy it to drag race, or race at all. I was just curious about that, cause the guy I bought it from told me it beat a 'stang.

| I don't know. Anything is possible. Esp Nutstain and V6 F-bodies w/ auto are dogs. I used to have a Toyota Paseo and I used to love racing those things. I mean it had 99hp but with a curb weight w/ a manual at 2015...in town up to about 50 it wasn't an compition. Also I was still getting like 34 miles to the gallon. I would think if you weren't going for top speed but just from a stop light up to like 50 it'd win. I mean you might not have near the power but you weigh like what, 1000 lbs less, and that really helps get you off the line. |
