Sorry to post this question again but I can't seem to find an answer.
I have an 82 931 and would like to fit Cookie Cutters. I know it can be done as there are pics everywhere. From what I can work out from searching the net there seems to be 2 different offsets available and either 6" or 7".
If anyone out there has fitted them could you please let me know what sizes, offsets/part numbers you are using and if the fit straight on or what you need to modify.
Thanks,
Andrew. |

A 7x16 with a 52mm offset from a 928 will work if the springs over your front struts are not distorted.

DPW928 everyone I have asked say that Porsche only made cookie cutters with a 23mm offset and I thought they only came in 15s. What year 928 did yours come from?
I have got 7 x 16 design 90s (55mm offset) now and they fit fine but not sure about the cookies. _________________ 82 931. Intercooler, water injection, variable boost, induction kit, EBC green stuff, 944 roll bars, 968 top mounts, design 90 rims. |

Mine are dish, S or manhole cover (take your choice) wheels, but the width and offset are the important factors. Since the 23mm will be 29mm closer to the spring with a 7" wheel, I doubt that it would work on the 924. A 6" with 23mm offset should clear if the spring is straight.

Is it not a smaller positive offset so it will be nearer the wing rather than the spring? Will this require body mods? _________________ 82 931. Intercooler, water injection, variable boost, induction kit, EBC green stuff, 944 roll bars, 968 top mounts, design 90 rims. |

a 944 offset sticks the wheel farther out from the car, and will rub on the fenders and cut the tire in no time, tried it. Looked really nice though. _________________ 1987 924S Guards Red

Just rechecked and need to correct my posting. The 78 928 wheels on my 931 are 7x16 23mm. The tires are 225x50's. They fit all the way around except on the right front where I discovered the strut spring was misinstalled. A blowout at 75 mph isn't very much fun.
