|

Hi,
I'm actually considering buying the GT front spoiler from www.gtracing.com , is there anyone on this board who has bought fenders/front bumper from them before. Also could you post some photos of a 924 GT?
Thanks. _________________ 1986 944 | 1978 924 (FS) | 1982 931 | 1980 931 |

I don't know about you but I drive a Porsche.
We are authorized dealers for GT Racing, as well as AIR, Fiberwerks, and others. If you are going to order from any one of these guys feel free to discuss how we can save you a little $ when the time comes.
By PM only please. _________________ MJ

I will remember to contact you My924gtc before I get one.
I plan on adding an intercooler to my 931 in the future, so I'd like to get a bumper that would flow enough air to keep the car from overheating. The stock 931 bumper seems like it flows a good amount,so would a carrer gt front bumper flow more or less? What kind of bumper would flow the most air? _________________ 1986 944 | 1978 924 (FS) | 1982 931 | 1980 931 |

Personally I am pretty fond of the Fiberwerks front end for something different.

Anything with a decent size air dam will flow. Depends also on what FMIC you go with and where it is positioned. _________________ MJ

It will probably be a front mounted intercooler placed right in front of the radiator. Something like http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1143466/2 this 924. The best place to mount it probably is under the hood as it is in the Carrera GT but I'm not a big fan of the hood scoop. Unless the duct in the 931 flows enough air (?).
As far as the brand I'm not sure yet, but a friend of my family has a radiator shop so I should be able to get a nice upgraded radiator and intercooler for a lot cheaper than retail. Do you have any suggestions of the best set up for a radiator and intercooler (ignoring costs)? _________________ 1986 944 | 1978 924 (FS) | 1982 931 | 1980 931 |

You are on the right path and if you can have something fabbed up special you are ahead of the game.
The IC is the easy part, it's avoiding that huge long (in my opinion hideous) charge tube that is the challenge. _________________ MJ

Whoa, I've never seen that front end before, I like it. Too bad it doesn't work with stock 924 fenders.
Thats the one thing I dont like about the front end, the bottom valance leans too much back, so its a pointy nose, where most cars these days have a flatter front end and ours has like a huge "over bite". _________________ [This Space For Rent] |
