Hi!
Few weeks ago me awesome Porsche 944 '85 was destroyed...
I have spent over 1000hours working in the car and restoring it... spent alot af time and alot of money, making it look like new. And it looked like new until 01,01,06 when it was crashed...
I'm from Iceland and offcorse I want a nother 944... awesome cars! But there are not many cars of this type here. So I was wondering if you could show me some sales in the USA where they have these cars for sale?

| Sorry to hear about your wreck. You might check ebay, craigslist, www.924.org, pelicanparts.com, & flat-6.net. Also, check the classified ads on www.classicmotorsports.net, because I remember seeing one there recently. Good luck with the search! |

Ouch. Sorry to hear about your car. It was a nice looking original.
I don't know if your mechanically inclined or not, but have you considered trying to fix it yourself..............especially with all the restoration work you have invested in it? Actually, from the photos, it doesn't appear all that bad............just replace the fenders, bumper, nose and headlight buckets with parts from members of this board or ebay. Is the frame straight? Was the engine/drivetrain affected? Is it still driveable? Was the car concours quality? If so, it may be worth the money to repair. _________________ 1981 931 (Concours)

Yes I've thought about it... but only these spare parts I need cost 16.000$ dollars here in Iceland! And then is all the work left and paint job... If I were in america I could get a very nice looking Turbo car _________________ Guðmundur Geir...

Should be able to get all the parts you need from this board in the FOR SALE section for under $2K. Or, better yet, buy a parts car cheap and have it shipped to Iceland. Shipping may be your biggest headache. _________________ 1981 931 (Concours)

It's just so expensive here I could get a parts car from USA for $1500 but when it has been shipped and all texes payed it would kost me about %5000dollars.
too much... _________________ Guðmundur Geir...
