We need to save every 924 we can, if Tim gives up, his car will be crushed. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

i think it's funny, plus with all his questions, you guys are basically writing an online repair manual. _________________ 1987 924S Guards Red

He should part the thing already! Everybody here would benefit from that in some way. We get parts - Tim learns about mechanics.
Then, when he buys another 924, the nature of his deluge of questions will have moved to a much higher plane... _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |

the car runs fine so i'm not going to crush it and I probably won't sell it because I hate having people call me aboiut my car for sale and I doubt anyone will pay more than 500 for it so what would be the point of selling it, 500 buck is nothing.
I have parked the car and covered it, it's going to sit there until summer and I'll try really hard in the summer to get the hatch to seal / check the exhaust etc. I don't know if it'll start if it sits for 4 + months with gas in the tank. I should probably add some fuel stabilizer.
I'm buying a newer car to get to school next year so I'll just keep my 924 to work on for fun.
I Know I've made some negative comments about the 924 but I really like the car or else I wouldn't have spend 2 years and all this money and time fixing it. If it wasn't a Porsche I would have crushed it by now, I would feel bad to see it junked. _________________ 78 924 sold.

From what it sounds like, the biggest problem with Tim's car is CO leaks... I have the perfect solution:

if your gonna store it for that long, try to run it for a couple of minutes every week just to keep it edgy _________________ Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?

CO leak makes the car too dangerous to drive so I'm not going to risk driving it anymore.
even with both windows down I felt like passing out today. I actually tripped out for a few seconds and saw this car in front of me driving backwards when I got home my head felt like a helium balloon.
first things I will try is to fix the hatch properly but I could do this last time. I tried adjusting hte pins. where the dash mounts on the roof can also be removed but I was scared I was going to break something, the hatch is so heavy.
other things is my exhaust no longer has a catatlytic converter and they cost 400 bucks for a new one. I don't need it for emissions.
oh and about that mask I dont think it would work, it would need to be connected to a scuba tank, maybe if I wore that mask with the intake coming from a tube above the roof like a submarine. _________________ 78 924 sold.

500 bucks is nothing. For somebody who knows what they are doing they may have a really nice car. Thats my 2 cents! _________________ Silver/Grey 77.5 |
