Well I'll be getting a boost gauge pretty soon, but what do you think for my other gauge? I thought about an air/fuel but I can't find a VDO one to match. Maybe a pyrometer? Thats like $100... Anyways, thanks for the input, in advance.

P.S. Heres the site I was looking at: http://www.egauges.com/vdo_bld.asp?Series=Cockpit&Cart=#Boost%20and%20Turbocharger%20Gauges

How about another boost gauge? Then you could kid people you've got a twin-turbo installation

how about an oil temp gauge? The access point for the sensor is already there in the sump/pan.

I just went through this decision and took an air fuel and volt gauge, since I already have a boost gauge, but oil pressure sounds like a logical gauge and its already tapped.

Hmmm, thanks Peter! It sounds like the good, logical idea, and its $60 instead of $100. Thats probably the way to go.

Sorry if I'm a bother, but where is the access point / how would I install that? I just kind of figured I should know before I buy it, and its not exactly something they'd explain in Haynes.

There's a large bolt in the sump/pan just above the oil drain bolt where the sensor will screw in.

The '76 and some of the '77 cars had an oil temp gauge as standard.

I didn't open the link yet, but looks like you're looking at a mechanical gauge - remote sensing, the temp sensor is in the gauge.

Not my preferred way of doing things - imagine what happens when the thin nylon tube breaks!

Rather, go electrical.

Yeah, you linked to a mechanical one. Scroll up, I'm using the one above, believe it's the 310-012 gauge. I'm using the 323-423 sender with M10x1 threads for my convenience; I see they have larger metric threads available for the same gauge, so maybe an M14 or M16 would swap right in for that bolt... anyone feel like checking? I have spare oil pans, but not accessible (they're in storage in Waterford).

Mine's M14x1.5, but Ideola found his to be M16x1.5, so you'll have to check your own anyway - http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=16462

Are you mounting these on the A-pillar?

Lotek is a better bet for the pillar pods and probably who supplies Lindsey.

I am probably your best bet since we carry their line too, and can sell you one for $49 plus shipping with the OE finish.
