I was looking at these 4 lug spiderweb wheels on ebay and thinking about bididng on them but then I noticed that the guy has 2 of the same auctions displayed with the same pictures and description one ends a little later.

I emailed him and he say he has 2 sets for sale. But in his description he says he bought them for his 924 turbo but has since converted to 5 lug..... so he bought 2 different sets for his 924 turbo? also posted the same pictures and description for both auction. He also says he only accepts paypal... I was thinking of bidding on them but it doesn't seem right. Especially with paypal you won't be able to do anything to get your money back if the guy never ships you the items.

I asked him a bunch of questions regarding shipping and his 2 auctions and he answered them but when I asked if the wheels leak and how bad the curb rash is on one of them he never answered.

both auctions actually look like they've got different pictures to me tim.

what do you expect him to email back saying about the 'wheels leaking' and 'curb rash'. he's said they've got curb rash and he's got good pictures of it...?

They look nice wheels, I'd like a set.

It doesn't seem a scam, but no idea why he'd buy two sets of the same wheels for one car...unless maybe some are bent?

oh, and i'm sure khal will have something to say like 'got it runnin right yet timstar'???

why do you want wheels before you've got it right? nobody is going to see your wheels if the car stays under the tarp!!

if you use a credit card to pay using paypal, then you have nothing to worry about. if you get screwed by the seller, tell the credit card company that you refuse to pay for whatever charge and that it was fraudulent. at least that is how it works here in the us.

i agree with chris24...get it running, then worry about cosmetic stuff. I still don't have a radio, and won't get one until the car works better.
