A 924 taking a Ferrari 360 on the inside, on the Nürburgring, no less!

Good show old chap!

As much as I love the 924, I bet the Ferrari Got tired of lapping that damn porsche...

Or

The porsche was clearly passing some old lady.... after all he was in the lead... coming out of the turn, damn slow drivers you find them everywhere!

yeah look how wide that ferrari is. I don't care how good the 924/944 hanle I'm sure a new ferrari will handle excellent as well and would eat the 924 even around corners.

something else to think about is that the ferrari driver would probably be nervous about crashing his ferrari, it happens in races and people get their corvettes, porsches etc totalled and go home loosing their 100+ grand car. the 924 owner would probably driver harder. plus the v12 ferrari driver wouldn't really see a little 4 cyl 924 as competition.

The "ring" as we call it over here depends a LOT on the driver, i dont say that the porsche necessery overtake the ferrari in this picture, but the "ring taxi" driver Sabine drove a standard ford transit as fast as Jeremy clarksson did in a modern 200hp+ jag, and problably faster than any of us would drive with our cars. So its not impossible that a 924 with an experienced driver lapped the ring faster then the ferrari with a less experienced one.

I agree with Cedric as I have driven the Ring. I was driving the 2005 Ford Focus (Euro) with 145PS and I could not keep up with the instructor who was driving a Ford Galaxy (7 seater mummy MPV) with 125PS!!!

Great photo, maybe it should be posted on Pelican..............
