Ditto here. No website though. But here are a few pics of the 924 DP cars and the literature that was released about it back in the early 80's. If I get a chance I'll post a few pics of my car.

My father and I "race" Porsche 924's. He has one and I have another. His car is #53 on the main page of the 924.org website. The yellow 924 is currently residing in Ohio and hopefully will be racing one day again soon. I don't have any other pics online except maybe on Vaughan's site.

Still tinkering with the idea of one day putting together a website for F.L.A.G. motorsports.

And it gets less yellow every day!

Of course, life, work, women, and finances always conspire to get in the way of the important stuff like building race cars. Been working away at removing every possible ounce before starting assembly. Even in IT trim there was a lot of excess to the car.

Should have gotten it dipped as planned. Decided to do it manually and save the $500. Instead I've spent countless hours and can't get to all of the undercoating.

Also made the decision to sand it all down to bare metal. It appears the car has appeared with 4 colors in it's history. So there is probably 40 pounds of paint on it. I'm also getting to learn how to pound metal as I want to minimize the bondo on it. That process always reminds me why I like composites so much!

The plan is in two weeks to do all the seam welding and put new primer on, at least on the outside. The inside still needs some more stripping and some of the welds on the cage cleaned up. I'm starting to run out of weather so I have to focus on getting the big dirty jobs finished so the car can move indoors.

Are we going to see anyone at either of the last two races of the season at Nelsons?

Is that Ryoji's old car -- the one that had the fire at Summit?

If so, very worth resurrecting... LMK if I can offer any help.

No such luck, Andy, I'm done for the season. I still hope to get back to Mid-O next year - very bummed I didn't go this year - and show up the ITB crowd... but we'll have to see how the finances go. As always. First priority is to win the Waterford championship next year!!!

That's the one. Fire was caused by a baseball-sized hole in the block. Reworking it as a Prod, rather than IT, which is why I'm spending all the time grinding off the excess weight. Need to get the car down to 2000 pounds (2200 with driver).

And I still have the shell I started. I'll keep it as a spare or - preferably - build it after practicing on this one. Then I'll have a car for my son to use.

And we can challenge the Jadczak's to a little father/son competition! Of course, by the time I get this all done Vaughn will probably have driving-aged kids....

By the time the Jadczaks get competitive to run against you and Vaughan I might have a couple of teenaged sizer kids and I'm not even married yet

Andy this coming weekend we are doing our last race for the year, an enduro at the Glen. Ryoji will be there and there may be another surprise or two driving for us. We are entering our two cars and going to run WFO!

Glad to see your making progress on the car. I am so glad that went to a good home.

Iám just starting to build a 924 n/a 1979 with porsche 5 Speed for racing.
I have been racing a 944 1983 in the Porsche Classic Car Trophy ( www.pcctrophy.com) but found that it is not competitive at all.
This year i was invited to do the 500km Nordschleife race with a 924 and it was big fun !!
