Hello
scuse me for my english i try to do my best
I 27 years, i live france, Cannes (city) and i have a porsche 924 2.0L 1981
I By this car on years ago, and step by step i restore this car, it's not fast because the money ise not here
And i have another car Mercedes 500 SEC 1983, honda prelude Ex 1984 and BMW 2002 of 1973.
I need money so i send mercedes but i keep tue porsche it's sure ^^
and for the bmw 2002 i don't know if i keep or not at this moment
I keep the 924 for the ballade and historic rally so i try to upgrade the motor but the question is "what is necessary it to make" ?
because the power is very just for historic rally
And it's not possible to make a big upgrad because the gazoline is very expensive here (1 gallon = 6.35$ US )
thank you
bye |

Welcome aboard! There are a few things you can do to get a little power out of the n/a 2.0 but I'm not nearly as qualified as some are to tell you what they are..
I know little about the 931 and even less of the n/a's so hopefully someone can help you out more than I can.
I just wanted to welcome you to the forum. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Welcome Kaneda.
The 924 has 125hp with Euro motor and is reasonably quick as it is a small car.
My car has an automatic but is still pretty fast as I have just given it a full service and run 98RON fuel.
Give your car all the TLC it needs and check all the fuel, vaccuum and heater hoses, brakes and electrical connections.
I have owned mine for only 6 months and nearly finished all the maintenance (neglect) the previous owners failed to do.
Most cost little to do, just time. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

Hi, Kaneda, welcome to the forum.
I've often wondered: How does the 2002 compare to the 924?
Powerwise, speed , cornering; which is better? _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

thanks ozzie
the bmw 2002 is very very diferents, is difficult to compare 924 vs 2002, you ressent when you are in the 2002 it's a real old car,
the 924 is more comfortable, so one feels less the road, the power the 924 is less "powerwise" but it's just "impression" beacause the 2002 is very light and the the noise is very present inside the car.
and i think in real the 924 is more powerfull
But i install a 1602 "pont" (i don't know this word in english) and now the engine is so short
The handling, silence, break, 924 is better that sure but a bmw 2002 upgrade is very simple and very powerful !!!!
I need powerfull on the 924 but powerfull in bottom |

yes thanks you
c'est le pont d'une 1602, il se situe à l'arriere, comme la 924 ou il y a la boite de vitesse et le pont
comme le pont "autoblocant"
merci |

He means the differential, autoblocant means limited slip, I think. He has installed a BMW 1602 differential, and now the car has short gearing. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
