I bought my 84 model on August 31st, 2001. That's just over four years ago. It's my first car and it was a my own gift for my 25th birthsday.
I'm the third owner in Norway, and it came here in 97 as a gift to the original owner from her dutch boyfriend. The documents I got from Porsche regarding registreing her for 4 people indicated that she was originally sold in France.
So I'm probably the 5th owner.
We need more choices on this poll. |

The car was bout in California in 1979 and it was sold to my grand father by a lower that though he should be driving a 911. The car was given to my oldies brother but it wasn’t working so he dint rilly get it and now its some what working and I’m going to be paying for upgrades and parts so its acutely mine.
I’m going to get my license her soon so my dad is going to officially give my the car after collage do to the fact that he’s paying the incerenc and then colleges think I don’t own my own car thus I don’t pay as much for tuition (therary). _________________ 1979 924 sebring project car (first car)

I got mine in January of 2001. Much like Viking, I was 25 and it was sort of a gift to myself. It is my third car. It's an Australian-delivered car and has had three previous owners and they all looked after it so I got one of the good ones The second owner raced it, somewhat successfully, apparently. So it has some cool racing-style mods.
EDIT: Here's a recent pic...

Bought mine in April of 2005 in Grand Rapids, Mi.
The most recent PO says it came from Grand Rapids to him, and there it came from Kansas City, where it was suppousedly bought new. _________________ Mike

Very nice, Khal!
My car has a somewhat sorted history...
Bought it from my brother, who bought it from some clueless #### in Victoria, who bought it from the guy who built the engine to it's current tune. That's as far back as I know the history of the car, but I assume it's been through a few more owners before that...
Interestingly enough, another high compression 924 turned up in Victoria, bought as a parts car by Mikri184 some time ago. Different build than mine, with custom pistons IIRC. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

Yeah, cheers
Lucky shot on the pic, though. I was at my parents place a while back and they live on top of a hill and have pretty steep block of land. The car is parked in the front yard up near the road. As I was walking out the front door and up the stairs, I glanced over and noticed the car was lookin' pretty sharp sitting there So I took a pic! Came out well. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

I'm the fifth owner. I bought in Aug. 2002 a week beofre my birthday.
My car was made and sold in Germany and found it's way to Zürich, then it came to the US and now it's in Canada.
Talk about running up the mileage! |

Well, Gram, she's pretty seriously lowered, obviously. It's got adjustable Koni's all 'round. It's got racing-style quick release brake pads but that might be standard on these, I'm not sure. It's also got braided steel brake lines.
It runs 15" Cookie-Cutters with 205's at the front and 225's on the rear.
The engine's definitely got a lumpy bugger of a cam on it. You can hear the engine smooth out and the note changes at about 4000rpm. But it's got that lumpy heartbeat idle... ba-da-brumph ba-da-brumph
Also a very tasty snort-burble on the overrun
It's got a K&N cone filter and a custom 2.5" stainless steel exhaust all the way through.
It runs on BP Ultimate and Mobil 1 oil (no leaks).
The boost is standard 10psi.
I've put NGK Iridium plugs in it. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

I am the third owner, purchased September 2001.
The first registered owner in July 1981 was a lady in Germany who owned it until 2000. She must have been a fan as the options were very carefully chosen (e.g. mine has A/C, very rare for a Euro spec car) & meticulous as until she sold it, the service history was at Porsche! The car even had a "924" vanity number plate.
The second owner kept it for about a year and a half in Greece until he blew the engine....
I came in at this point...

I've had about eight 924's and have no idea how many owners the cars had. I don't like to say 'owner', I like to say 'partner'.

I'm the second owner and have owned it since 1990. And by the way, IT'S STILL FOR SALE. _________________ 79 924 Sebring |

18th October 2001, 5th owner since 1978. Bought the car as a little bit of fun for myself and my wife, a bit of escapism from the stresses of family life.. _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a
