I got my original sport seats recovered. About a year ago I had replaced my torn sport seats with a very nice set of standard seats. But what a disappointment. Iit was like riding on a piano bench.
I finally found an upholstery guy locally who wanted the sport seat pattern. He recovered mine for $100 apiece. He did an excellent job and now he is selling "do it yourself" sport seat kits for $375 (I think).
After offering my standard seats here, I now have them on ebay. Although in excellent condition, I don't recommend buying them. Get yourself a pair of sport seats. They increase driving pleasure by at least 10% _________________ 1982 924 n/a |

Now now Neil924. He didn't say they increase hp, he said they increase "driving pleasure". Same with replacing the original cassette player & speakers with a CD player, new speakers, honkin' great amp & subwolfer etc, no increase in hp but a HUGH increase in "driving pleasure".
Heck, if "driving please" only equaled hp, none of us would be driving our Toofahs! _________________ TJ

Now there are facts supporting not only a 10% horse power increase but maybe more! Maybe even a "HUGE" increase! Perhaps 20%?! WOW! |

Is that 10% per seat or just for the two.
Well, it's a valid question, isn't it?!!! _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |

I had sport seats in my 924 and in my 928, and there is NO comparison, although you will find it easier to control the car as you arent being thrown around that much your copilots may not like it and tend to some out abit more white nuckled. _________________ 3 928s, |

Are these the '3 piece' sports seats you'll are talking about? IF so, 82-924, do you have a picture of yours ? _________________ Ryan Moone

While converting the (IMO) ugly seventies brown interior of my car, I replaced the normal seats with some original black leather sport seats. felt like driving a new car! highly recommended. one of the easiest upgrades ever.
BTW does anyone know how to take the 3 pieces in the bottom half apart? the side bolster needs some new leather. |
