I like my 924 but I wanted to paint it because it looks pretty horrible right now with multiple paint but the frotn end (due to bad body repair) the headlights don't fit and I don't want to paint it before that.
About the driving into a tree thing. I don't even pay for crash insurance just have basic insurance which is still 135 dollars a month. I've been driving for 4 years now and have never had a crash. I didn't think crash insurance was worth it.
I wouldn't mind a late 924 na thats in excellent condition but that must be a pretty rare thing to find around here.
people on this site told me that my car is worth 1000 at the most. I paid 2000 for it and its going to be at least 2000 in repairs pretty soon.
if I sell it I would loose 3000 or more that also sucks. | News Flash - No one buys a 924 to make money. Plain and simple. You buy it (or any Porsche) for reasons you can rarely put to words - the closest is appreciation - and not of the financial kind either. I tell ya what, take photos of your car and post it with the topic title "How Much is this Worth?" and lets see what everyone thinks. After all your posts/questions, I am getting real curious as to what exactly your car looks like. Please, take some photos inside and out, engine and all, lets see what you got. That might actually help us help you make the best judgement. And, don't forget about that 1990 Chevy Lumina option either.

alright I'll take pics tomorrow. Its really not in horrible condition.
I'd rather drive my 924 than a chevy lumina...
I started school today so my 924 has to take me to school and work everyday without breaking down. So far its been reliabe for such an old car.
the engine seems to use more than the normal amoutn of oil and I don't think its a leak anymore so the engine is probably pretty close to the end of its life. | when the girls at school see your Porsche and go to their knees, is it cuz they are praying for your car or is it for something else . . . like . . . errr, uhhh . . . to pick up the books.

I've seen pics of timstar92404's car (can't find the thread they were in) and it didn't look too bad to me. I've seen 'em a lot worse.
But then, I'm not a fan of his "glue the hatch shut" solution _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

haha your making me laugh.
Khal the hatch can easily be opened the glue is just a bit where the gaps were between the hatch and the new seel.
the glue can be peeled off it's not bad like silicone.
silicone however is a real bitch to get off , pretty impossilbe without sanding which I found out... (sunroof seal was siliconed on so when I get my new one I have ot sand the paint to ge the silicone off and then repaint it.) _________________ 78 924 sold.

Alright enough with the jokes
Almost all the cars in my school are way nicer than my car. Alot of rich kids live here. There are tons of new bmws and other expensive german cars at my school.
This asian girl always parks here Porsche cayenne turbo in the parking lot. I've also seen two porsche boxsters.
One of the professors also drives a newer green 911 turbo. _________________ 78 924 sold.

Hey timstar
I love your Pink Floyd avatar. I know this is way off the subject, but have you ever seen Dark Side of the Rainbow? Wizard of Oz video set to Dark Side of the Moon audio. Awesome stuff. Amazing how the sync! You don't even have to be stoned to appreciate it.
