I picked up my second 924 this weekend, it's a 1980 I think.
She's got a little rust, and some "minor" body damage after the previous owner had a minor accident with her. He got out of it with just a cut.
It was rather cheap too, just under 1000 USD to buy it, and about 600 USD to transport it home.

What do you think about the car itself?

Personally, I don't think I can fix that, and my mechaniclly inclined friend wanted to turn her into a track car ... until he saw her. So I think she'll be used as a parts car.

Jokes aside, she's a parts car, nothing else. Most people who have seen her can't believe that anyone survived it.

A bit of Bug and Tar remover to get rid of the road grime, & maybe some touch-up paint & she'll shine right up & be good to go. You may also need to fix the headlight motor!

slam, if you look just infront of the rear fender you see a couple of airscoops indicating it is only a body kit, as well you notice that the front fender was a fiberglass unit as well, again an indication of a body kit,

the front bumper cover looks to not be too badly damaged and due to the fact it is a 951 piece it will catch a pretty penny on e-bay

I wish I still had pic's of the 79 that my son did 1 1/2 end over ends in. It would make yours look like an easy fix. BTW he had 74 stitches and came out just fine, girl friend had 3 stitches. Damn good cars.

Yes, it's a body kit on it. It had fibreglass fenders all over, and they covered the area where the bumpers were supposed to be with thin fibreglass as well.
Since the fenders are irrecoverably gone, and it was attached to the body using screws and glue, I don't think it's reusable, but anything is possible if you really want it.
I got the car for the transmission and engine. All other parts I can use are just a bonus.

Yeah, Liz, I missed the louvres - and the early style rain gutters on the windshield/roof rim. You know...

I saw the turbo valance and drooled a bit is all.
