it is mainly due to there wieght, and avalibility.
I see that you are in SK Canada, I have a full set of 4 16X 7" flatdished rims that are going to be for sale very soon if you are interested, and there is a writeup in the tech section that vince did on redoing his rims. _________________ 3 928s, |

Hey Vince_
I've also got flatdish 6's and 7's on my '88 924S, but I can't find your write up in the tech section. How did you take the clearcoat off? Did you polish them yourself. Details would be great!
thanks

On this sites home page there is a section called the tech section then go to the wheels part. It outlines the procedure.
I took the rubber off the rims to do this function. Use toilet paper to remove the Easy Off HD Oven cleaner. Why? It is disposable. You will use a lot of rags if you don't. Wear rubber gloves as the product stings.
Only do one wheel at a time. It will take a while to polish it to a chrome like finish. No one can tell the difference when finished. Follow the instructions and you will do fine.
Some pictures show the before, during and after the cleaning of the wheel.
