They are sealed with a thick band of goo ( I call it "Gorilla Snot").

You can try heating up the edges from the outside with a hair dryer, but usually they can be pushed out by pushing on the screws with a hammer handle or a block of wood

You can try to heat the seals. It is a hard gentle push top get them out. Make sure you have all the little nuts off. One is hidden on the bottom.

Once you get to see light between the parts get some heavy string and thread it through and pull it around. Cleaning the black stuff is hard too. Good luck.

When you replace them, you will need more 'Gorilla Snot' (as Paul puts it!) and plenty of it or else the back of your car will fill up every time it rains.

The lights don't fit flush against the metalwork, but are designed to sit on a bed of 'GS'.

You might be able to use something like a heavy duty needle and some fishing wire to pierce the GS and break the seal.

You just know that someone is gunna use GS as a product name for this stuff. I can see it now, big picture on the packaging of a Gorilla holding a tissue & everyone saying "Why do they call this stuff "GS".

Funniest product name I've found is starter fluid called "Start Ya Bastard"!

Thats priceless! "NOTE: If you use too much, the Snot may take a little longer to dissipate..."

Nah, mate, the one that made me laugh was:

HOW DO I USE SNOT?:

Apply Gorilla Snot sparingly to your fingers or work a small amount into your pick
