I must admit it's a little creepy to see the targeted text ads that come up in the gmail side bar. Nonetheless they are less obnoxious than the html ads that come up on Hotmail. For me the big issues were storage and searchibilty. A 2500MB email account means I can archive any email that may be of interest in the future. It also includes an email search feature that allows me to search archived emails the same way you can search for old post on this board. Great stuff.
