I have a late 1979 2.0l NA 924. I have a haynes manual but it seems only to have a diagram with the relays labeled, not the fuses. The owner before me put american fuses in some of the slots....and i need to know what "size" fuse goes to replace them,

also the fuse i believe to be the one for the power windows keeps blowing... i replace it with the same size and it blows, so i would like to rplace all the fuses( they are dirt cheap) with the correct ones.

so if anyone has a labeled fuse diagram that would be great...

Thanx in advance

I think this information is in the manual. (the one that came with the car from Porsche). I'll try to remember to take a look at mine when I get home in case you don’t have one.

on the power windows thing, I had a problem like you are describing and it turned out the rubber boot that protects the wires that go from the car into the door was not holding up and the wires were being cut by the metal of the door and shorting out there.

The fuses and relays changed slightly during production, and I don't know exactly which year. Also, there was some variation between US and ROW models. The photo at right shows the 15 main fuses and the bottom row of relays. White fuses are 8-Amp, Pink/Red=16-Amp, Blue=25-Amp
Listed below is how my car is set up:
· Main fuse panel
1. Headlight, Left, Low Beam (8 Amp)
2. Headlight, Left, High Beam (8 Amp)
3. Headlight, Right, Low Beam (8 Amp)
4. Headlight, Right, High Beam (8 Amp)
5. Fog Lights (16 Amp)
6. Brake lights, Courtesy light, Engine compartment light(8 Amp)
7. Emergency Flashers, Lighter, Clock (8 Amp)
8. Blinkers(8 Amp)
9. Parking lights, mirrors (8 Amp)
10. Heater/Vent Blower Motor (16 Amp)
11. Windshield Wipers (8 Amp)
12. Cargo Area Light, License Plate Lights, Ashtray (8 Amp)
13. Side Markers, Left (8 Amp)
14. Side Markers, Right (8 Amp)
15. Fog lights (16 Amp)
· Auxillary panel (1979 & later) - (not pictured)
1. Horn (8 Amp)
2. Fuel Pump (16 Amp)
3. Radiator Fans (16 Amp)
4. Rear Window Defogger (25 Amp)
5. (Empty - Air Conditioner Fan) (16 Amp)
6. (Empty - Air Conditioner Controls) (25 Amp)
7. Empty
8. Power Windows (25 Amp)
9. Empty

looks like ozzie posted everything. I took pictures of the manual for 1977 and 1980 turbo that I have so I might as well post them just for fun.

1977:

Does anyone have one for a 78 or is it similar to the 78?

Does any one know if the 1980 turbo chart is the same as a 1981 NA chart? I also do not have a chart for my car.

those are the only two books I have and I don’t know for sure if they are the same as yours but you can just remove your fuses one at a time to verify. Once you know, I'm sure the rating of the fuses will be the same. I've used 8amp fuses when a 16 is the one that should be used and they don’t burn out. Maybe after a long period of time but definitely not soon.

for the most part the wiring between the 80 turbo and the 80 NA will be the same, however the main differences that I can think of is the fuel pump relay will be different, and will have an extra wire in the engine bay to ground out the fuel pump to an overboost cutoff switch, as well the ICM has a different pin out.
