Just a quick question ... is the crank on a 924 turbo the same as the 924 N/A ?
I am talking about euro models if that makes a difference. I am in Australia and one of the local guys is building up a 924 turbo for his son, so if anyone has a crank that will fit a euro 924 turbo could they please email me
Thanks

Thanks peter I thought they where But this guy was told that they where different (I think by his engine builder) which is a bit of a worry. You don’t happen to have one laying around for sale do you by any chance?

What is the problem with the existing crank? Has your mate had a second opinion from someone who specialises in crank rebuilding?

I'd tell him to change engine builders. The cranks and rods are the same for the 924, 931 and GT. Even the GTS and GTR used the same crank and rods so unless the engine spun abearing and totally stuffed the journal the crank should be OK. One of my spare cranks spun a bearing in the past and I've just had it machined to suit the next sized bearing.
This is currently being installed in the new race motor
