I did put dellorto carbs on and later weber alpha injection bodies. The carbs gave about 5 bhp and a quicker response. The injection bodies gave a bit more power again with cleaner running.

Carbs or ITB's will make for a much better flowing intake tract, but are not going to offer too much improvement in performance unless you do something to get more air moving through the motor.
Headwork is the key here, then you will see true benefits from increasing intake and exhaust flow. Go for a better cam and port the head, then spend the $$$ on ITB's and a header. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
