Hey all

I was driving down the road in my 1980 924 and it died. For a bit the engine was running but I was getting no gas. I got the car towed home and tested both fuel pumps and they are fine. Checked all the fuses and relays and they are all fine as well.... The car has a full tank of gas so thank god I am not that stupid. All the leads to the relay are all fine and they get power to the relay. BUT the coil gets no power and I do not get a spark. Tested the Coil and it seems to be fine to. When I try and turn the car over the Fuel pump relay will not kick in. so I tried using a jump the see if it was the relay and the fuel pump turns on with the jumper so I went out and bought a new relay that also did not fix the problem. SO The relay is fine the fuel pumps are both good. and I just replaced the ignition switch so thats not it either. My brother who owns a 944 thinks it could be
an ignition module. Is there any one out the with the same problem Ever?
And what do you all think i could do to fix this?

It is either the ignter module on the left front inner fender, or (and most probably) the breakerless magnetic sensor module inside of the distributor.

The module cost me about $50 or $75, and the labor to disassemble the distributor, install the module, and test the reassembled distributor cost another $25 or $50 from a Bosch authorized shop. You need a press to disassemble the distributor, which is why I took the distributor into the shop after removing it from the car myself.
