We've had a couple of BIG earthquakes down in the South Pacific, 'round here.
Now I see California has had a couple of decent ones in the last few days...
Is everyone bracing for the Big One that's cleave San Fran. and L.A. off the coast..? _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Well hope that you don't get all the way to north eastern Ohio, the least amount of sunny days in the US second to the Pacific northwest, Seattle area. Apparently it's why they built the US army arsenal in the middle of nowhere here. If the Germans ever ran bombing runs over the US it would be harder to find through clouds. Interesting stuff though, if you go 100 miles in any direction from here...they get on average 60 more days of sunshine than we do... _________________ Mike

Yep, I heard California, Oregon and Washington were going to break off, and then form there own country. Of course, it is pretty much that way already, I think they call it Liberal Land. Appoligies to Gohim, but I had to leave the land of fruits and honeys a long time ago. I just couldn't take the politics. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

While this an OT thread to start with, let's not get started on politics, ok guys?
Anyways, the real big one is supposed to be just off the coast of my island, where the Juan De Fuca plate is sandwiched between the Pacific plate and the North American plate. They're anticipating it to be something to the order of 9.7 on the Richter scale. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
