Hi I have a 1979 euroedition 931, and I just bought myself a 17" rims.

the front wheels are 7,5" wide
and the rears are 9" wide

do you guys know anybody who has tried this on his car. or will I just have to get a widebody kit so the rims will fit.

I've already ordered it, but they haven't arrived yet.

Might as well start saving your pennies cuz I see a body kit purchase in your 'not so distant' future

That depends on the offset of the wheels. If they're the correct offset, around 53mm, you should be able to sneak the fronts in with a low profile tire, although you may need to roll the fenders to keep it from rubbing. For the rears, I'm not sure if you'll need a spacer or not, but it'd be a rather tight squeeze under any circumstances. Again, rolling the fenders may be necessary.

If they're an off the shelf generic wheel that isn't the correct offset, they probably won't fit.

I don't know if it's good or bad but my car has koni adjustables dampers and lowering springs.

Wheels that large are not recommended with use with four lugs because stress could exceed the design strength of the lug bolts or wheels and cause a sudden failure under load.

In other words, when turning hard, the wheels could fall/break off.
