Hi, I'm new here.

I am looking for body parts or body kits a 924. My plans are to buy a 924 in about a month, but I would like to give it a more sporty look.
Can someone please give me some sites where I can find body kits (like the carrera GT body kit) or body parts?

the 924 is a car that most owners dont really upgrade much on, so you therefor have a LOW demand, that means that if you do go ahead and build things it is going to take awhile for them to sell if they ever even do, so not much is made for them and they can afford to sell them at high prices,

So you want to make it look more sporty, eh? well, there is a really awesome kit for the 924. I have seen it before on a Trans Am and it looks great. I know they make it for 924s because I had done little research on it and found some pictures. I don't have the info really but I can tell you the name of the body kit and what it looks like.

Well, it is a "Tojan" body kit. It replaces the glass rear hatch with a carbonfiber-glass imitation of what looks like the Lamborghini Diablo's rear. It also comes with wider wheel wells and hood replacement. If I had converted my 924, I would put on the 924 tGT wheel wells and the Tojan hatch and front spoiler. Take some time looking for it, because it is worth it.

By the way, I might actually do what I just said someday. I have a Torch Red 1978 924 n/a. When previously owned, it was dented up a bit on the rear right side, so they kept it in a garage. It has only 82,000 miles on it. I have put 1000 since my mother bought it for me last April, for ONLY $1500. After driving it awhile I quickly found out that the previous owners deprived it of transmission oil, so the 4speed gears were all torn up. For $1600, I had "Hans Wittler Automotive" install the torque tube, 5speed transmission and the whole rear suspension from a 1987 924 turbo.

does anyone have pictures of a 924 with just 944 rear quarters? I was wondering how it would look with a wide back and skinny front. Also how hard is it to change the rear quarters?

If you don't have a 924 already, and you want the 944 look, why not just get a 944 to begin with? You will be much happier with the 944, than you would be with a 924 that needs thousands of dollars worth of work to make it look the way you want that will drive slower than the car when you bought it.

The rear quarters are welded on. Trying to install them on a 924 body can be done, but the cost of the parts alone (new, that is) is more than the car is worth.

If you really want a 944, just sell your car and buy a 944 to begin with, or buy the fiberglass rear flares and pop-rivet them on, the same as many racers did when they needed more space for fatter tires on their 924 race cars.

If you had a 924 with four bent corners that was a total, I could see sticking on the fiberglass rear quaters, and 944 steel front fenders to save it. But I can't see ruining a perfectly good 924 body to turn it into a 944 wannabe.

If you do replace the four fenders, then you are going to need wider wheels and tires you will need to fill up those big wheel wells. The wider wheels and tires weigh more than the skinner 924 parts, and the engine does not have the power to drive them efficiently. You would be trading fair accelleration (already close to poor) for looks, because the performance of the car would suffer.
