I would like to start of by saying thanks to everybody who gave information on my last transmission post. For a refresher the car was stuck in third gear. Well I finally got the car (1982 924 NA, 5sp) on a lift and the linkage is fine. I also noticed that you can actually shift into the other gears and have two gear engaged at once, not good. IMO I think I am looking at either a stuck syncro or a broken shifter fork. In anyone has any other thoughts I would be happy to hear them. Also, do you guys think it would be easier/cheaper to drop the tranny and replace broken parts, or find another tranny. Again, thanks for all of the input.

I'd say it's easier to just swap in a good one...
