I came across a good deal at a large local porsche dealership that is closing out its inventory. he said that i can bring a puckup truck and take whatever i want from any 924/931 except his snailshell trannies for only $150. I will be getting some seats, and somereplacment interrior parts that are broken on my 931. he only wants like 100 bucks for a good condition snailshell tranny. i can also get 944 turbo parts for it also. i think i will get an intercooler from a 944. so if anyone has some requests for used parts that are small eanugh to be shipped or you woulld like to pick up larget items let me know and we can work on splitting the cost of filling a pickup truck with parts. also i was wondering what other parts i should get to have just lying around for future replacment. im going to look for good condition shift linkage because mine is not too good. Im also looking at getting a hood from a N/A924 to build a hood scoop on for when i have an intercooler setup. maybe some rear disk breaks from an s model also. well if you need any parts or have ideas on power adders or parts that i might want lying around for future use let me know.
glen...
ps the place im getting the parts is in salem oregon and my friend knows the owners fairly well is how im getting such a good deal. i live in southern oregon and will be going up there for parts i n the next month or so. _________________ "Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD, you know you want to hit it, but you are afraid of the consequences"

Are the trannies rebuilt, or just used? _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

I need;
Interior back, side pieces in brown with a grain.
931 filter straps. (Good luck on that one)
Non- powered flag stile mirrors for a 77 924
Rear luggage cover in brown.
Armrest lid in brown (early model)
The column, wiper and turn signal assembly for an 80 931 in brown
That same assembly for an 85 ½ 944 in brown
Two factory alarm switches with keys
On the larger side I could use a 931 lower front valance.
If he has all that I would pay for ½ the truckload maybe more.
Let me know what you can do, Thanks Jim. _________________ 1980 931

I would like a 931 head, and a 951 intercooler too, and if they have gasket kits for the head and block and you can get them cheap I'd be interested in as many of them as you can get.
I'm sure I will think of more as the days roll on...
Thanks for the offer too... _________________ MJ

I'd be interested in a 931 head, 931 valves, 931 valve guides, head gasket, cooling hoses, '81-'82 931 digital ignition parts (sensors, wiring, etc.), and a radiator if possible! Let me know if any of these are available! _________________ Jon Furst |

I will be heading up to that area in a couple weeks and ill see what they have. All parts are used, its a wrecking yard that has a lot of porsche stuff. Unfortunitly i will be taking most of the brown interrior parts becuase that is what i need the most so if there is 2 of any of the brown i will be able to get you some. I will make a trip and check on all of those parts and take a second trip to actually buy them. I hope the guy thats hooking me up with this deal doesnt get pissed that im getting parts for other poeple, hopefully he wont find out that i am. _________________ "Nitrous is like a hot chick with an STD, you know you want to hit it, but you are afraid of the consequences"

if you happen upon a car with earlier leather sport seats(larger side bolsters than the normal seats,) that are partially torn up(ie: the yard considers them worthless, but still may have good upper or lower upholstery sections), i could use any upholstery you can salvage from them, i need the material to patch mine up.
i could use a few other things too, but nothing major and its really not worth troubling you over..but any seat upholstery as above would be greatly appreciated. _________________ Eric

Hey you know, with so many of us needing front spoilers for the 931, there is a good business opportunity for someone skilled in fiberglass. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

I would like a front bumper like Crunchie57:
It's the only front bumper I've seen that doesn't require 944 fenders. |

Ill would like the following:
951 Intercooler
951 intercooler hoses/piping
a 931 audi shifter
any euro bumpers if you can get them...
but the shifter and the intercooler are more important...
I will pay full shipping on any of these items, and some $$$ for a 12 pack for yourself.. or something.. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |
