I'm back for awhile. I just bought a 931 that I'll fix up and sell to someone here on the list. I also have an 86 944 that I'm parting out and maybe would/could swap the suspension onto the turbo. Any problems with that?

So Bob, these 15" phone dials I have, won`t work with this 87 924s suspension I plan on swapping in? Better to catch this now than later, when I have everything swapped over and have spent the money on new tires to go with the rims.

Think I`ll go to the garage and place a rim on the wheel studs and see what you are talking about... I`ll wait til tomorrow. Its kinda cold out there to be checking stuff in my scivvies.

oops my bad yeah
15s or larger will work on NA 944 brakes
16s or larger will work on 944 turbo brakes

But the 86 offset 944 wheels won't work on a 924, without sticking out there

the 924S is no problem. the turbo 5 bolt and the 924S are identical brakes and the offsets are the same

The left front spindle wont have the hole for the speedo cable.

I tried to put the 85.5 944 wheels on the 88 924S too being they had brand new tires on them. They stick out way to far. I will have to remove the tires and put them on the 924S rims. NO problem.

924s 53.2 vs. 23?? offset. Big difference although you would think they fit.
Do not lower the car as a test you will bend the bodywork.
