I have replaced every single suspension component on my car with new ones, except my spring plate bushings. Everything preforms great with the exception of the drivers side rear. As I drive, there is a noticeable "knock or loud click" coming from in front the drivers rear wheel. The sound happens at random times only while driving. My cv-joints are new, and I've retightened my wheel nut twice and no change. I've tried to move the car back and forth in my driveway, bounce it up and down, crawled under it and shaken and pried on, and wiggled all parts of the suspension with no sucess. The sound seems to happen when the car is moving and the uneven road surface causes the torsion bar to twist, then "bang", I hear the noise. I even suspected my transmission mounts but again no luck their tight and firm. My car sits even on both sides with no lean at all. I have jacked it up so I could spin the wheels and the axles but again no luck. Through this process of elimination my only guess is the torsion bar bushings as they were the only part thats still original . Does anyone know how to check these without dropping the entire rear suspention? What do these sound like when they need replacing? How do you know if they are even bad? Do you have to re-index the spring plates if you replace the bushings, or do you just pull off the old ones and slip on the new ones? Is this job a major PITA?

One more thing to check -
There's a "locating spring" that holds the brake pad assembly in position. It's not in the usual spring shape, but just a rod of spring-steel with a few bends. If you have disc brakes in the rear and that spring's broken, you can get a cheap sounding clank as you hit bumps in the road.
