nice job!!! and i actually like it with the yellow roof..and the drips... gives it character, but my tastes are a bit unconventional anyhow, i also like the old plaid checkerboard interiors, so dont take my word on anything fashionable.......

has anyone told you that the car looks nose heavy? I think it's because of the front spoiler that the back looks too narrow or something

i like the old interior too. does anyone know how much it would cost to get the seats sewed back together at the edges? oh and about the actual topic, your new paint job looks great. i never really like crazy colors but that seems calm and fits well together.

Does every know how to wet sand, just takes yer time
and lightly sand, sand, sand then apply some rubbing compound
followed by polishing compound and wax... Im usen a 2 speed buff
and polisher made by black n decker.. I did a real nice easy wet
sand buff n polish on the sunrroof today guess Ill do the body tuesday
if you take the time to wet sand and get rid of any orange peel
you buff n polish and it looks good. I found fast rubbing and slow polshing with the buff n polish wheel brings up the shine the best.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MANAGEMENT

There will be a meeting at Joe's house on January 23, 2005. Bring all the parts you need painted. If you care to bring paint. If not Joe has enough paint to mix with all the other colors he has to make any combination color you would want. Metallics are not a problem. We can grind some tin cans. Sorry you must bring your own striping tape. If you have a 944 lower valance he can also cut that up real quick with a saws all. He can paint all the cars in one day or less. No charge, but bring beer.

Joe the car looks nice. I would change the colors on the drip rails, roof and mirrors. Sorry but the lower valance must go. Good job. I wish I lived near you so you could paint my car to suit my daily needs.

Blargonator you could bring your seats after you remove the material to a boat shot for stitching. Cost $40.

Sunday I stripped my hood I had some Ez strip I used on
my fuchs..I heard aircraft stripper was good so today I
picked some up .. My hood has alot of paint on it
over the original dolmite grey.. theres
3 layers red , yellow, and blue. each application of stripper
would take off a lyer plus the primer that underneath each color

Aircraft stripper works really well.

Look at it this way. Look at all the weight you saved by removing all the paint.

Joe, here's a tip to make the stripper more effective. Apply it to the paint..then cover the area with a sheet of plastic. It keeps the vapours from evaporating and drying up and will take more layers off at one time.
