What the best thing to glue down your new carpet with? Would a Arasol Spray glue work? I am doing all new carpet in my 924 and would like to know before I get in over my head. _________________ 1980- 924 first Porsche and Restore Project

3M Interior Trim Adhesive is best. You can get in aerosol cans or spray with paint gun and buy by the quart. _________________ MJ

I used the 3M Adhesive in a spray can. Worked great! _________________ -Stu

3-M makes several "strenghts" of their aerosol glue, a "Super 77", an interior trim and a hi strength trim glue. The "77" is good for paper, sheet plastic, fabric and light weight stuff, but isn't enough for headliners or things heavier. The interior trim glue doesn't hold up to heat, but the high strength trim stuff says that it can safely be used in hi temp applications like under-the-hood insulation liners and the like. All of the stuff is pretty expensive, so you might consider getting the strongest stuff and using it on everything. _________________ '79 Eurospec 931 |
