|
|
| I was toying around with the car earlier, and realized that the upper part of the rear seat was wobbling a little, which brings me to the question. Does the rear seat fold down? And if it does, where is the release latch to unlock it? |

yes, the top half folds forward to give you more flat surface in the hatch.
the release mechanism on my ROW car is on the left hand side of the car (when looking at the rear of the seat) and it's a metal lever that is pulled towards you (ie, to the rear of the car).
mine used to have a looped handle of some kind, but now is just a metal plate on a rod, and might be tucked out of the way, but should still be accessible.
they can be a bit stiff, but trying to pull the seat towards you while pulling to release the catch can make it a bit easier. _________________ it's funny, but when they said "Anything is Possible", that's exactly what they meant.... |

They came with a loop of vinyl as a handle that lies forward - so you can release it from in front of the seat. The loop should be visible from the front... If you have it, just push back on the seat while pulling the loop toward the front of the car. If not, it has to be done from the back as Kye described. It's on the left side of my car (US spec, LHD) same as on Kye's, so yours should be there as well. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

| If the leather strap ripped off... is there still a way to unhatch the seat? |

Yeah - didn't Kye cover that procedure already?
(Except that (with my car at least), you'd push the lever forward if unlatching it from behind.)

oh crap.. yeah, smoothie is right, you have to push it towards the front of the car, not the back..
question: what was I thinking?
answer: I wasn't!
