consider a lyndsey racing pick up tube mod and baffle.
about $75 shipped.
it will help with trapping the oil near the pickup tube.

Even idles.
Used one of the injectors from the 944
Suspect a lose wire tho and might swap back

Check the rotor set screw.
Found our problem
Timing was 180 out of phase
The crew member with 944 experience races with aluminum flywheel
It only has one mark

Can you get the crankshaft 180 degrees out of phase with camshaft and not cause damage?
One of the guys has been running a aluminum flywheel and didn't realize the stock flywheel maybe marked diffe ... |

Pulled the engine, put her back in. All emissions have been removed.
New fuel pump. new battery.
Fuels seems fine, 3 of 4 injectors are firing. (lift and look method)

I would expect to run the dayco belt.
If you're in there, you might consider lightening/balancing; can be done easy/cheap at home, doing just the rods and pistons...

Can the rod bolts be installed without taking the engine out/apart?
I've heard the rod bearings and nuts can be done by
dropping the oil pan -- but how about the bolts?
