| Thanks - the top "cap" of that unit looks like it broke off and was glued back on at some point.
It's an air/oil separator coming from the crankcase. Removing it, you'll vent crankcase ... |

Made it home last night. 2600+ miles, 1 broken alternator belt, 1 tired driver. The car worked great - every new 931 owner should go for a nice long shakedown run like this  |

| Yup, Euro model, right hand drive. Those are Singapore plates. I lived there for 6 years.
Was your old one a euro car? What country is that plate ? |
