Just got a price of $1225.00 from the dear for a new Catalytic coverter. This is $25.00 more than I paid for the car,$%#N.

Sounds like it is just an aesthetics issue, as the lines are not leaking.

I like the shrink tubing idea. If I buy a 3-1 or 4-1 shrink ratio I should be able to slip over the fittings ...

I'm in the process of bring an 81 931 back to life.

The hoses for the fuel injection lines, though not leaking, have cracked rubber. I seem it would just be a matter of time before they leak.
