Maybe you see my problem now.

My old fuel lines are steel lines connected to plastic hoses w outer isolation of rubber (as can be seen in the earlier photo above).

Finding replacement for these ...

OK, thanks, but if these fuel lines are original why havent I seen them anywhere...? Cant seem to find anything like them in autoparts stores, homepages etc.

To clarify: all 4 lines plus the return line are of this type. Inner hose made of rigid plastic (polyamide) and outer hose made of rubber. The rubber is totally rotten, but ...

This drives me crazy. Besides normal fuel rubber hoses on my 1981 924 NA Euro, I have 4 weird hoses (5 including the return line).

The timing belt tensioner is brand new, installed a couple of months ago. OEM stuff and carefully installed so I doubt things started with that one breaking.

Yeah, didnt mean that the hanger itself hit the timing belt but that the increased vibrations due to abscence of the damper caused the belt to cut against the rim of the timing belt cover.

This part (which I assume is an engine mount with a vibration damper) fell out of the engine compartment shortly before the timing belt was ripped to pieces and the engine halted...
