| There is a tube about a 1/2" in diamater that goes to the exaust from what looks similar to an EGR on a chevy. I am assuming it is for emissions. Would anything be gained by removing it? |

I just bought a 1979 Porsche 924 that a kid took 14" drop off in a construction site. It cracked the oil pan and I wanted to find out if an oil pan off a 1977 will fit and what other years also.
