There *is* a kink in it, that section of hose has to twist like mad and the new hose doesn't flex like the old one did. The kink just doesn't look like it is restrictive though.

I took a look and yeah, I'm not taking the car anywhere. The outside 'rib' on the belt in front is frayed and coming off.
